Buddy the Book® Framework

The Buddy the Book® Framework involves a shift in perspective, where students imagine themselves or another individual as a book and write a text through that point of view. This framework is supported by our children’s book, patent-pending writing booklets, and our trademarked brand, Buddy the Book®.

Fundraising for Literacy in AZ

The mission behind our fundraising initiative is to help Arizona school districts conduct simple pilot studies to determine if the Buddy the Book® Framework can improve their existing literacy efforts.

These pilot studies will test the hypothesis that the Buddy the Book® Framework makes the writing process more fun and relevant to students. Research shows that when students are having fun and what they are learning is relevant, they will experience improved information processing and better long-term memory.

How it Works

Donor makes a contribution directly to one of our partnered school districts for “extracurricular activities”. A $10 donation will allow 1 student within the school district’s extracurricular programs to participate in this activity and study. Donors may claim tax credits for their contributions.

For each $10 donation (covers 1 student), $5 is used by the district to purchase the Buddy the Book® resources for that student, and the other $5 will be used to support their extracurricular programs.

The school district will identify the best school and setting to administer their pilot studies. They will work closely with us to organize studies that test one or more hypotheses about the Buddy the Book® Framework and its impact on students.
